Zoom - Disable Authentication for a Scheduled Meeting
Last Updated 5 years ago

It is recommended that you enable authentication to mitigate the possibility of "Zoom Bombing" or uninvited participants when scheduling class meetings with students. However, you may want to disable authentication for meetings when you invite participants who do not have Berkeley.Net/Clever accounts such as parents, members of the public, or other colleagues from outside the district.

If you've enabled Authentication for Zoom Meetings you can turn this off for a scheduled meeting.

Login to your Zoom account either via Clever or go to https://berkeley-net.zoom.us
Go to the scheduled meeting and click the edit the settings button prior to starting the meeting. Verify that the Require authentication to join checkbox is unchecked.

Once you have saved the updated meeting settings verify that the meeting does not require authentication on the Meeting information page.
